Nicole Ramos
Al Otro Lado
Nicole Ramos is the director of the Border Rights Project at Al Otro Lado, where she conducts human rights monitoring at U.S. ports of entry, provides legal orientation and legal accompaniment to asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border, and engages in advocacy and litigation against U.S. border policies that violate the right to seek asylum. Ramos is also an adjunct professor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law where she teaches a course on border enforcement policies and movement lawyering. She is also a consultant for a multiyear interdisciplinary research study of the impact of restrictive border policies on the health outcomes of asylum seekers.
