Rozina Ali

Rozina Ali is a journalist based in New York City. She is a contributing writer at New York Times Magazine, and a fellow at Type Media Center. She writes about the War on Terror, Islamophobia, the Middle East, South Asia, and literature. She is a Cullman Fellow for 2022-23.
Her work has appeared in various publications, including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Harper’s, Foreign Affairs, The Nation, The American Prospect, and others.
Previously, she was on the editorial staff at The New Yorker, and a senior editor at The Cairo Review of Global Affairs, based in Cairo, Egypt. She is currently working on a book about the recent history of Islamophobia in the United States.
