Senior Staff Attorney Carrie DeCell appeared yesterday on PBS NewsHour to discuss the possible extradition of Julian Assange on U.S. espionage charges. Speaking with host William Brangham and former senior counsel for the House Intelligence Committee, Jamil Jaffer, DeCell emphasized that the charges posed a direct threat to press freedom, as they could ostensibly be brought against many national security reporters.
