The Knight Institute and 23 other free speech, tech policy, and civil liberties organizations today sent a letter to the House of Representatives urging it to oppose the recently introduced federal TikTok Ban. The groups argue that the ban would violate the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans who use TikTok as a major communications platform, and call on Congress to instead pass comprehensive privacy legislation.
