The Knight Institute and 86 other civil society organizations today sent a letter to Congress urging lawmakers to keep civil and human rights concerns at the center of efforts aimed at regulating artificial intelligence (AI). The groups also requested Congress to draw on the expertise of civil society and the communities most impacted by these technologies as it examines the opportunities and risks presented by AI.
