Under Secretary of the Treasury for Enforcement
The President does not have a legal duty to make a nomination for Under Secretary of the Treasury for Enforcement. If the President does not make a nomination, the Secretary of the Treasury could perform the duties himself or assign them to another official of his department. The OLC does not provide release dates for its opinions, so the release date listed is the date on which the opinion was authored.
