Authority for Issuing Hatch Act Regulations

The Office of Personnel Management, rather than the Office of Special Counsel, has the authority to promulgate regulations delimiting the scope and nature of permissible activities under the Hatch Act Reform Amendments of 1993. The OLC does not provide release dates for its opinions, so the release date listed is the date on which the opinion was authored.
