Status of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission

The Foreign Claims Settlement Commission is subject to the Attorney General's direction in administrative matters, except where that direction would interfere with the Commission's independence in adjudicating claims. The OLC does not provide release dates for its opinions, so the release date listed is the date on which the opinion was authored.
