Alyssa Morones
Alyssa Morones is a legal fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute. She received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in May 2021, where she helped draft and submit amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the New York Supreme Court as a member of the First Amendment Amicus Clinic. During law school, Morones was a fellow with the Initiative for a Representative First Amendment and interned at the Cornell First Amendment Clinic and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. Prior to law school, she worked in journalism, writing about health and education issues in California’s Central Valley, and about national education issues, among other topics. Morones received her B.A. in political science from the University of Notre Dame.
