Leena Charlton
Leena Charlton was a 2019-2020 Legal Fellow at the Knight First Amendment Institute. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School where she was the Executive Editor for Online Content at the Harvard Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review and worked extensively with the Tenant Advocacy Project. She received her B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Human Rights from Columbia University. Charlton is also counsel for Jessi Zazu, Inc., a non-profit organization continuing the legacy of Jessi Zazu through support of the arts, social justice, and women’s health. Prior to her fellowship, Charlton was an associate at Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe LLP and worked at the New York Civil Liberties Union.
